After 18 years in Public Ed, René now flexes his education muscle while supporting the community with their home loan needs. A school principal turned mortgage advisor, just a few things have changed. He focuses on building relationships to understand your needs, educates, and presents options, while executing to get you into your home. From community advocacy to financial planning, René’s experience is unlike any loan officer you may meet. Bicultural, bilingual Boricua raised in the city of Chicago, René supports his native English and Spanish speakers. Now, as President of the Happy Valley Business Alliance, René will help connect the needs of small business owners with each other and with the beautiful community we call home.

Clint is a results driven individual who received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and MBA in Marketing from the University of Oregon. Clint’s consultative approach to real estate financing is one where he educates the client on how to pick their rate and understand the importance of debt structure. Borrowers learn to leverage their largest asset with good debt while eliminating bad debt to reach their financial goals. As a small business owner, Clint understands the unique challenges faced when seeking real estate financing. Clint is a Past President of the Clackamas Rotary Club who believes in building a better community for the next generation.

Known for her ability to implement winning strategies for her clients, she’s a luxury home sales specialist who manages a team of four real estate professionals. As a former mortgage broker with more than 27 years of experience in real estate and financing, she has been featured on HGTV’s “Good Buy, Bad Buy” and bases her approach to life on philotimo – an ancient Greek concept that enables her to serve her community and her clients.

LizBETH has an extensive background as a mortgage broker and real estate broker that has enabled her to objectively look at issues and formulate solutions that get her clients the best possible outcomes. Her real estate company is a minority-owned, woman-owned, Small Business Certified company. LizBETH is also the President for the Rotary Club of Clackamas.

Kimberly Henderson moved to the Happy Valley area from Milwaukie in 2009.  She remembers when Sunnyside road was just a two lane country road and Happy Valley was just a vision, and what a beautiful vision it has become! Most of her work has been in retail, restaurants and marketing.  In 2015 NW Love in a box was born at the Portland Night Market where the inspiration to create locally sourced gifts was hatched.

She loves to support small local businesses both professionally as well as personally so you will find her perusing farmers markets for hyper local wonderful items to include in the boxes. When not working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, her doggos and Pickleball! She is super excited to be able to support the business community in Happy Valley as the Membership coordinator!

Clackamas Fire Chief

Chief Browne began as Clackamas Fire’s Fire Chief on May 1, 2021. Chief Browne began his fire service career as a volunteer Firefighter with Asotin County Fire District #1 in Washington in 2002 before becoming a career firefighter with the City of Lewiston Fire Department in Idaho in 2003. Browne was hired with Clackamas Fire as a Firefighter in 2008 and rose through the ranks, serving as a Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief. Just prior to becoming the Fire Chief, he served as the Operations Division Chief, supervising the daily delivery of emergency services. Chief Browne holds a number of professional certifications, along with a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science Technology and a Master of Business and Leadership. Nick lives in Pleasant Valley with his wife Amanda and four children; Madison, Wyatt, Gracen and Colton.

Clackamas Fire District #1 is the second largest fire district in Oregon, serving over 210,000 people and covering 225 square miles within Clackamas County. Clackamas Fire District #1 is made up of over 300 firefighters, paramedics, staff, and volunteers who deliver emergency response services from 21 strategically located fire stations.oes here

City Liaison

Director of Community Services and Public Safety, City of Happy Valley

Steve Campbell, an Oregon native, began his public service career in 1994 and joined Happy Valley in 2003. He began as the Director of Community Services and Public Safety. Prior to that, Campbell worked for government agencies at the federal, state, county and municipal level. In his role as Director of Public Safety, he manages the Police Services Contract, Code Enforcement/Animal Control, Municipal Court and Emergency Management. In addition to his public safety role, Campbell also serves as the Director of Community Services and the City’s Public Information Officer. He is responsible for the management of public relations, marketing, communications, community events, government awareness education programs, youth council, passport program, and various permit services. He has a longstanding commitment to public service and a passion for good government and the community he serves.

Steve Campbell is the Director of Community Services and Public Safety for the City of Happy Valley. As part of his position he serves as the liaison to the Happy Valley Business Alliance. Steve has worked for the city for 15 years and is dedicated to our community.  He is married to his wife Kristin and has two children Savanah and Max.

Real Estate Broker, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate

Patrick is a seasoned Realtor with over a decade of experience specializing in executive homes in Happy Valley, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Clackamas, Oregon City, and Northwest Portland. Drawing on his service in the Oregon State Legislature (2011–2012), he provides insights into a community's economic health, public education, and transportation projects.

A dedicated local leader, Patrick serves on the Portland Metro Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, the boards of the Happy Valley Business Alliance and The Dorchester Conference, and as vice-chair of the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.

A fourth-generation entrepreneur and 45-year Oregon resident, Patrick enjoys fly-fishing, mountain biking, and playing guitar.

Owner, Bishops Cuts/Colors

Lee Jones is the owner of Bishops Cuts / Color in the Happy Valley Town Center, where they’ve been doing great hair since 2018.  Lee has been thrilled with the business environment in Happy Valley and looks forward with great anticipation to the HVBA being able to meet in person once again!

Away from business, Lee is a very average gardener and golfer and a doting grandfather.

Alina Kravchuk was born in Ukraine and moved to the USA as a teenager. She has a strong passion for helping others. Alina is deeply involved in the Slavic community, where she actively works to support and serve the needs of the community members, making a positive impact on their lives. Her dedication to both her professional and community service roles has made her a valuable member of her local and cultural communities.

As a born-and-raised Oregonian, Kaylin loves working and being involved in the Happy Valley community. Before starting her own business, Kaylin earned her bachelor's degree from Oregon State University, followed by her master's degree from George Fox University. After years of teaching and working as a communications director, Kaylin decided to pursue entrepreneurship and founded Vantage Virtual Solutions six years ago. She enjoys supporting small local businesses through her work. When she’s not working, she and her husband stay busy with their two active kids and a sweet puppy.
